Shepard's Pie 1
- 1 lb ground round
- 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1/2 c chopped celery
- 1 (10 1/2 oz) can vegetable soup, undiluted
- 1/2 t dried thyme
- 3 c mashed potatoes (preferably homemade, not instant)
- 1 c grated longhorn colby cheddar cheese
- Cook beef, onion, and celery until done. Drain off fat.
- Add thyme & soup, mixing well.
- Pour into 2 qt casserole dish that has been sprayed with vegetable spray.
- Spread potatoes on top.
- Cook for 20 minutes at 350*.
- Sprinkle chees over top, and bake for 5 minutes more or until cheese has melted.
Note: Be sure that your mashed potatoes are prepared as normal
