Apple Pockets with Cinnamon Glaze
Great for camping
  • 4 fresh Apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Biscuit dough
  • 1 egg
  1. Peel the apples, core and slice them into 1/2" thick slices.
  2. Put the apple slices in a pan and cover with plenty water.
  3. Pour in sugar and stir to dissolve.
  4. Add cinnamon.
  5. Bring to slow boil.
  6. Reduce heat and let simmer until apples are soft
  7. Pinch off a fist sized ball of dough and pat it flat into a 6"-8" circle.
  8. Make 8
  9. Beat up 1 egg in a bowl.
  10. Lay cooked apple slices on 1/2 of the dough, coat the edges with the egg and fold over
  11. Now seal the dough edges.
    (The egg will keep it from popping open while cooking.
  12. Bake until golden brown.
  • While the pockets are cooking make the glaze.
    • 2 cups hot water
    • Powdered sugar as needed
    • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
    • Cinnamon
    1. Add vanilla to the hot water then slowly pour in powdered sugar. Stirring all the time until you get a mix that is about the consistency of honey.
    2. Drizzle your glaze over the hot pocket,
    3. sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon. These can also be deep fried
