Milk Jug Stained Glass Luminaries
Gallon or Quart Plastic Milk Containers, Sand, Utility candles, Stained Glass paint, Liquid Lead, paper plates or newspaper
- Prepare your container by washing and rinsing it thoroughly. Dry completely.
- Punch 3 or 4 small holes in the very bottom
- Draw a design with pencil or fine line marker.
Use the liguid lead to outline - Paint the design with the Stained glass paints
- Let thoroughly dry
- Set on a paper plate & pour about 1 inch of sand into the bottom.
- Make a hole about a half inch larger than the bottom of the candle. Insert candle and pour a little melted wax or mix sand with glue and fill the hole.
- Brace the candle upright until it has hardened
- Set outside, slide the paper plate from underneath and light the candle for a beautiful luminary for any occasion.
