  • They 5 produced sanitary ware, general pottery and a limited amount of Belleek porcelain
  • Empire Pottery began as Coxen and Company 1863-1875, then became Coxen and Thompson 1875-1884
    They were purchased by Alpaugh and McGowan in 1884 and the name changed to Empire
    In 1892 they joined thr Trenton Potteries group
  • Ideal Pottery was formed in 1902 and became part of the Trenton Potteries group
  • Trenton Potteries merged with Mutual Pottery in 1922, and operated under Trenton Potteries. Trenton Potteries then became a Crane Company subsidiary, with Mutual as Plant number1
  • Delaware, Cresent and Enterprise were already idle and the buildings were disposed of
  • American Trent Art Pottery or Tepeco was produced for about 10 years around WWII
  • In 1950 The Trenton Potteries was dissolved and operated as just a division of the Crane Company
