  • Founded as the American Pottery Co, by Christopher Webber Fenton after the failure of his United States Pottery in Vermont
  • Produced yellowware, also whiteware untill 1863
  • 1863 closed due to the civil war
  • 1873 reopened and the name was changed to the Peoria Pottery Company
  • 1893 exhibited Dinnerware at the Columbian Exposition
  • 1902 acquired by Crown Pottery of Evansville Indiana, and merged to become Crown Potteries
  • 1904 closed
