Roseville and Zanesville, Ohio
- 1885 J B Owens started production in Roseville Ohio at age 25
- 1891 moved to Zanesville at the request and support of the city
- 1896 production began on art pottery with the "Utopian " line
- 1902 factory burned and rebuilt
- 1907 manufacturing architectural tile
- 1912 built another plant and was employing 400 to make tile
- 1928 2nd fire destroyed plant
- 1929 new plant completed but never in production due to the depression
