Lakewood till 1917, Rocky River 1921-1931, near Cleveland, Ohio
- 1912 R. Guy Cowen and his wife opened a pottery in his own studio in Lakewood Ohio
- 1913 formed the Cleveland Pottery and Tile Company
- 1917 Cowan inlisted in the Army
- 1921 returned and moved the pottery to Rocky River Ohio
- 1927 renamed the pottery to Cowen Pottery Studio, Inc
- 1931 ceased operations
Red clay was used at the Lakewood location untill 1917
After moving to Rocky River he changed to a high fired porcelain
