Niles & Cambridge Ohio
  • 1901 founded in Niles, Ohio
  • 1910 aquired by F H Sebring and managed by William H Tritt
  • 1912 incorporated
  • 1920 fire damaged the plant, and was repaired
  • 1921 sold to A O C Ahrendts
  • Operated for a very short time as Crescent China, but quickly changed to Atlas China
  • 1925 fire destroyed the buildings but they were rebuilt
  • 1926 Atlas China Company merged with the Globe China Company of Woodlawn Ave., Cambridge, Ohio, to become the Atlas Globe China Company, with both plants operating in their respective towns
  • early 1930s the Niles plant was shut down with production continuing in Cambridge
  • 1930s also saw a forced liquidation that was settled out of court
  • 1934, the property was aquired by Universal Potteries.
